Holed up in the trendy Manhattan hotel, the careless heir to Hollywood royalty - son of Michael, grandson of Kirk - was shooting up sometimes six times the day.
His own stabs during stardom had mostly gone nowhere. But notoriety found him when federal agents showed up during his highway residence doorway to expel him in an unwanted role: methamphetamine trafficker.
The 31-year-old's real-life drug play in the Manhattan justice has since laid bare the sum of his downward turn - which friends censure upon the toxic brew of privilege, neglect as good as the family legacy of piece abuse - as good as his loved ones' deep despondency over it.
